From acronym or contraction to nickname
Taking the initial letters of all given and perhaps also family names, one could form another name which could also act as a nick name, e.g. Margareta Esther Trixy AnneMeta. Too nerdy?
(The middle names were selectted rather randomly.)Another method, which accidentally came true for my oldest, is to combine the first letters or syllable of the first name with the last one(s) of the middle name to get the nickname, e.g. Natasha MartinaNana (or Masha if switched).

Meta is a reasonable NN for Margareta anyway, most people would never think much of it.

My cousin is Katherine Teresa. We call her Katie, and her initials are KT. When she was younger she would sign things KT instead of Katie. However, Katie is short for Katherine anyway so it's a bit different.I personally wouldn't do it because people who only know their first name (90% of people) will be confused by it. Imagine the conversation"My name's Julian but everyone calls me Jon"
"Oh why is that, Jon isn't short for Julian is it?"
"No, but my middle names are Oliver Nathan so it stands for Jon"It would be weird in my opinion.Meta works fine as a nickname for Margareta without the acronym thing.

The nickname thing makes sense. We have NinKit (Nadine Marikit), nin-keet - so we did similar. Using the first letter of multiple people to come up with a full name is kinds cool. However, it would definitely need to be explained a lot. Probably followed by "awws" and "how cute!s", but still..

That would be a really neat and fun way to come up with aliases or fantasy names - if it works! Almost as much fun as the "what is your dragon name" meme.Using the "first syllable of first name + Last syllable of middle name" formula, my nickname should be "Chlona".Natasha Martina is an awesome name btw.

I don't think any of my current favorite combos could work as acronyms because I am not the type of person that likes multiple middle names. I could imagine acronyms, though, for some of them. But I think they only work for me because they make legitimate names that I still like. Eleanor Isabel --> Elabel
Amelia Josephine --> AmelineIt doesn't work as well for my male combos, in my opinion.

Hi !!!So...
The first method for me works better for band's name or kind of associations...The second is better for given name. But is difficult finding names that match...Byeeeeeeee
