I really like the name Vincent but I don't like any of the nn's. I think it's better left without a nn.

I love this name, and right now it's on my list for my future children (which will take a while to appear, as I'm only 17 and have no SO at the moment). But I absolutely won't give him a nn if I can help it. If he does wind up wanting to be called Vinny or Vince, and can't be dissuaded, I'll let him use the nn, of course. But I don't like either nn, and I won't use either of my own free will. Vince is marginally better than Vinny though; so is Vin.Miranda

My cousin's name is Vincent and I always call him Vinnie even though he's grown up and is being called Vince now I love calling him Vinnie. But we are only 6 days apart in age so when we were learning to say each others names our moms used Vinnie and Sammi so it was easier for us. I guess its just habit and he calls me Sammi still.
I guess that whole story was to say that if he's little Vinnie will be prefect but as he grows Vince will be better for the teens years and Vincent might be want people call him after that. So it depends on the person or the parent
