Lillian & Vivian (Viv, Vivi) - I like Vivian, but the ending is too similar-sounding to Lillian, I don't find rhyming twin names cute, just annoying!

I've never had to use IVF so I can't help with your questions about what it's like. The chances of twins might be increased in some methods and not others, so it would depend what method you used. I would think the aim is for a successful single pregnancy though, those involved would not be aiming for twins or multiples.
