IVF & Possible Twins!
My DH & I have been trying for 15 months with no avail so now I’m undergoing testing. I’m a possible candidate for IVF. I’m very afraid of all this testing, especially the 20 viles of blood at one time:( I can do it...On the plus side, I’ve always dreamed of having twins. I am so excited to possibly have two babies. I’ve had my kids names thought out for awhile. You’ll see some of my choices are mega popular, but I don’t care. Have you gone through IVF? Did you have twins? What was treatment like for you? How did you cope? Names in first comment. Thanks!Girls (First and/or only girl will be called Lillian (Lil, Lilly.) Lillian & Audrey (Addy/Addie)

I think Lillian is a classic, enduring, feminine choice, and would sound good with, out of yours:Audrey
Claire
Grace
SophieGrant
Nathaniel
SamuelAnd Samuel and David and Nathaniel and David are my favorites out of the boys.I think Lillian / Madelyn, Lillian / Vivian, and Lillian / Olivia share too many similar sounds for twins, but they do match in style somewhat. I think Lillian / Madeline would look more elegant.

I did IVF for our second child, who is now 3. I have bad egg quality, so have had a lot of miscarriages and even with fertility treatments intended to improve egg quality was still having them. I wasn't nervous about the process since I'd already been giving myself injections for a year, but it does take some time to get the hang of giving yourself multiple injections. The worst part of the procedure, for me, was egg retrieval, but it's all worth it of course if it's successful. I hope it will be for you. We transferred two embryos but only one stuck, and I was in my 20s with no reason they shouldn't implant. So I'm always one for, if you're ok with the chance of twins, to go for transferring two. It costs WAY too much to not double your chances the first time around. Feel free to PM me if you want to talk more about it.eta: I reread your post and see you're just now having testing. There are very few reasons that testing will immediately show you will need to try IVF, although you may eventually get there. Most likely you will do regular injections first, maybe IUI, maybe need some minor procedures first. I hope you'll get conclusive results quickly, I'm sure that's what's making you so nervous is not knowing what you're looking at for the future.
My favorite choices from your list are Lillian and Hannah, Lillian and Aaron, and Samuel and David.Individually, though, my favorite names are Claire, Grace, Hope (all three are our girl's list should we ever be able to have another), Nathaniel, Owen, and Samuel.

I hope things work out for you. I'm expecting twin boys, and they're not even born yet, but I can tell you it's not so romantic as you imagine it.

I wish you all the very best in your journey to becoming parents. Fingers crossed it all goes really well the first time for you. My faves are: Lillian & Audrey (Addy/Addie) - Although I really dislike Addy / Addie as a nn for Audrey. Audrey is such a beautiful name it doesn't need a nn in my opinion.
Lillian & Faith
Lillian & Grace (Gracey)
Lillian & Hannah
Lillian & Olivia (Liv or Livie)
Lillian & Sophia (Soph) - I don't think Sophia needs a nn
Lillian & Sophie (Soph) - I don't think Sophie needs a nn
Lillian & Aaron
Lillian & David
Lillian & Nathaniel (Nate)
Lillian & Owen
Lillian & Samuel (Sammy, Sam)
Aaron & David
Jesse & David
Jacob & David
Nathaniel & David (Nate)
Owen & David
Samuel & David (Sam)Just a side note: If you had two boys, would you give the other son your DH's fn as his mn, if you used David as a fn for one of the boys? You wouldn't want one boy being named after his dad and the other not, that could be asking for trouble!! hehe

It's not weird if one son is named after the father and the other one isn't... Or do you mean it's different with twins?

No it's not a weird concept for one DS to be named after his father and another DS not. But I personally think that with twins, particularly when they are the same gender, there is a lot of added competition between them that you don't want to add to! My dad is a twin, he has a twin brother and they were always referred to as "the twins" and my uncle competed with my dad. I just think it's nicer to have both named after their dad.

Hi,From your twin set ideas I like:Lillian & Audrey
Lillian & Claire
Lillian & Grace (Gracey)
Lillian & Madelyn (Del, Maddy) - would prefer the spelling Madeleine and pronunciation "-line"
Lillian & Sophia (Sophie, Soph, So-So)
Lillian & Sophie - Sophie is very nicknamey to me, so I would just use Sophia as her formal first name - which you like and listed above - and Sophie as a nickname
Lillian & Vivian (Viv, Vivi) - I like Vivian, but the ending is too similar-sounding to Lillian, I don't find rhyming twin names cute, just annoying!Girl/Boy:
Lillian & David
Lillian & Nathaniel (Nate)
Lillian & Owen
Lillian & Samuel (Sammy, Sam) - I like this one the best
Lillian & Simon Boy/Boy: (David is DH middle name)
Aaron & David
Jesse & David
Jacob & David
Nathaniel & David (Nate)
