Re: Elise?
1. Do you like the name overall?
* Yes-- it's quite lovely.2. Please rate the name on a scale of 1-5; where 1= awful and 5= fantastic.
* 3 or 43. Would you consider using it in real life?
* Maybe as a middle name. Americans tend to pronounce it uh-LEES instead of el-EES, which isn't as pretty.4. What would you pair it with?
* Claire Elise
* Elise Manon5. Any other thoughts/comments about Elise?
* A little girl in my sister's class is named Elise. She is seven years old, and her parents are German-American Jews. She's the only Elise I know personally, and I think its nice her mom and dad chose to honor their heritage in her name instead of just choosing something popular :^PAudrey Elise sounds perfectly sweet-- very classic. Clara Elise is very close to my combo, haha! I like them both.

Elise is popular? I've met one Elise as well, it was years ago. Since it's not a name that is common in my area, I'm not sure how my fellow Americans pronounce it. Even if we were to limit our names to our ancestry, we could chose between so many to honor.
Me: Irish, German, English, French, Belgian, Swiss, Dutch, Scottish, Welsh, and Swedish, and possibly Spanish.
Him: Native American, Irish, English, German, and French.
