I don't like lnfns in general, and I don't like Romantic Oireland names unless there's a very good reason for them. So my reasons for disliking it are probably other people's reasons for liking it. C'est la vie.

I really like it. I've only know female Tegan's anyway and think it's weird for a boy.

I much prefer it on boys. Especially since it's a diminutive of Tadhg not a feminine form.

I know a 5 year old boy named Teagan and he's the only Teagan I've met. Teagan would be a nice girls name too.

Always been a favourite Irish name for me

I've only heard it on a girl. I don't like it, but I don't hate it. It fits in with a lot of the uncommon surnames that are on girls these days, but I think it works pretty well.

I have only ever heard this name used for girls, never for boys. I don't mind the name.

I know a girl named Teagen. I like it. It works better on a girl than on a boy imo.

I know a teen-age girl named Teagan.

I think of it as a girl name that also could be used for boys.
It's TEE-gan ... I'm annoyed by Tay-gan, which I think is very awful.
I like the spelling Tegan more, it makes me think less of tea and seems less likely to be prn Tay.
The vibe, for me, is 1970s - the first wave of trendy Irish names, a hippie vibe. It seems to "go with" names like Deirdre and Shauna and Darcy. Or maybe 90s. I like it okay, but the sounds aren't my favorite.

I've only heard it on girls. But I think it'd be cute on a boy. My main association with it is Tegan from classic Doctor Who, from the early 1990's.

I don't like it at all on a girl. Love it on a boy, love Teague too, but I just can't like it as a female name.

I know technically it started as a male name, but I never met a male Teagan. I have met a couple of female Teagans since roughly 1999, though. I like it, I think it's a fine name. Sounds feminine to me.

It's okay. I remember really really liking it when I was about twelve, and I still think it has kind of a cool-girl vibe to it, which is probably what appealed to me about it in the first place. It's much better than Reagan, at least.

Well, one big strike against it is the uncertainty of its pronunciation. Tee-Gan? Tay-Gan? Teggan?
Another strike is it's similarity to Megan and Reagan, both names I really don't like at all.
There's nothing special or interesting about it; you can say it's a surname, but I don't think I've ever even heard of anybody with Teagan as their last name. It's just blah, wannabe trendy.
