I met a baby Gloria about six months ago. I was rather taken aback, because it's still so dated to me. I don't really like it. It has a harsh edge to it and it's dramatic in a Fran Drescher as the Nanny way.

It makes me think of Modern Family and that song that goes G-L-O-R-I-A. Not sure who sang it but it was an older song.

It has two conflicting images to me. One is dated, Archie Bunker's daughter, and the other is glamorous Gloria Swanson. Most of the time, dated Archie Bunker's daughter is stronger, keeping me from really liking it.

I think Gloria is a beautiful name. It's like singing.

My M-I-L's fn is Gloria, but she has always gone by her mn, Jean. I personally find Gloria to be much more appealing. It's lovely and I'd call her Glory. :-)

I have always liked the name Gloria, I just love it.
