Briallen
Came across the name Briallen (pronounced bree-AHSH-en) the other day and thought it was interesting. Just curious what everyone else thought of it.

I like many Welsh name, but not this one. It's difficult for a none-Welsh speaker to pronounce and most people would probably pronounce it bri-ALLEN. It looks a bit like a Swedish slang word for trousers (brallor), which I think is unattractive.
The pronunciation is confusing. It's pronounced differently from what I would have expected - I thought 'll' was pronounced with a gutteral 'hl' sound?
Totally dislike it. Just a guess but unless someone is Welsh or knows the Welsh language, I suspect the name would be pronounced incorrectly quite often. The spelling brings to mind Brianna which I find most unpleasant.
