Amadeus

I'm not a huge fan of boys' names ending in -us (they're all a little pretentious imo), and Amadeus specifically reminds me of the movie of the same name in which Mozart is portrayed as being really boorish...
I'm in love with Amadeo and Amado, though. If I was actually going to have a kid anytime soon, those would be in my top 10 for boys' names.
So, I think it's usable, but there aren't any nicknames I like for it.

Silly as a first name, awesome as a middle name. Can't think of any nicknames, sorry.
I like it and I think it's highly usable. I fail to see any problems with it, and I don't think it's pretentious either. I would probably use Deus as a nickname, if any. I also like Amandus.
AMEUS!! Yes. :)
I absolutely adore Amadeus, but I haven't got the guts to actually use it. I don't think it's pretentious, but most people will see it that way. Also, I can't think of a nice nickname to make it more usable in everyday life.
I think it's a bit much as a FN but it'd make a great MN. :)
Day would be a good NN.

Rock me Amadeus, Amadeus Amadeus.
Thanks a lot; I have gone years and years without thinking of that song till now.
Pretentious. Not usable.

It's GP of mine. I wouldn't use it as a FN, maybe a MN..
