Joaquin
In honor of the hurricane that's likely to affect a big portion of the U.S. east coast, what do you think of Joaquin?I've always thought it was very handsome and just cool. Like, I can't imagine someone uncool named Joaquin. Overall, I prefer Joachim, which is less slick but feels somehow more complete. Also, I know someone with the last name Joaquin but they pronounce it JOCK-win which is really weird. I guess his family felt obligated to anglicize it, but that pronunciation has never made sense to me.

I think it's alright. One of my cousin's have two sons, the oldest are named Nino Joaquin so that's what I associate it with.

Ha. Joaquin Sebastian was one of my first combos for boys, back in the day.I like it. I wouldn't use it. But it has a really handsome, seasoned world traveler sound to me.

I've really been digging this name lately, basically for the reasons you stated. It's cool without being try-hard. Today I prefer Joaquin to Joachim.I think it's kinda sad that it's being used as a hurricane name. That usually dampens a name's popularity/usability.
