My full name is Erica Rose [lastname]. Most people call me either Erica or by my last name (which used to get me a lot of teasing growing up, but now people think it's "fun to say"); however, my mom has always called me Rosie.
Cait, Caity, Caito. Only used by my parents though.
Joy, Geems, or Heidz.
I'm Caroline and when I was little my mum and sister called me Lina (lee-na). My mum still calls me Lina but she's the only one. If someone else would call me Lina it would be really weird.
Caro is the go to nickname for Caroline here and people I don't know well call me that sometimes. It's weird being called Caro. I know they mean me but it's not me. Just a few weeks ago I was teaching new police officers and suddenly one of the police officers started to call me Caro. He obviously just assumed that it was my nickname. I didn't correct him. But I have never been Caro and never will be.
I have two friends who call me Cissi but it started as a joke and it feels like that nickname has a connection to our history and our friendship. It's not just a random, assumed nickname.
And not a nickname but sometimes people call me Caro-LINE (which is not the standard pronunciation here) and I like that very much.

Is there a preference between Jess & Jessie that you prefer to be called - or would this differ among various social settings?
I can sympathize with these dichotomies as I too have used (or been called) different n/n's in different social circumstances among various relations throughout my life among the various degrees of acquaintance, friendship, familial, &/or relative, including conjoined, intimacy.

Jess & JRod.
Jessi is only allowed by a select few. Otherwise, I hate it.

Barbra (or Barbie--yet Barbie--by acquaintances with whom I converse frequently). (or Barbs--by those who are extremely close); I am sometimes referred to as Barb, which, although I am not a fan of this nick-name, it is fine if someone is merely referring to me.
There was a time when I only used my middle name, which has as many nick names as that of my first--and some still call me by a variation of this. However, that phase has passed, and I am "back with my first"...

None. My dad calls me Have, which makes me crazy. I have always detested it. Otherwise just family nns - Fave, Toad.
Sair or Sairs. My DH calls me Honey and my dad used to call me Possum for a while, but I didn't like it!
Most usually Aim or Aims someone once called me Aimers (which I hated). My family and family friends call me Aimeloo (Aim-eh-lou), which I think is really cute.
DH calls me Leni sometimes, but no one else calls me anything but the full name.
I've had: Aud & Audge & then Audzilla (: (:
But very rarely I was called by a nickname

Rach, Rachie when people are being playful. I don't mind it.
I don't have a nickname, outside the InterWebz that is, I've only ever been Charlotte. My own fault, since I insisted on being called by my full name when I was a little kid, so it's just been like that all my life. Even if I'd had some since childhood, it would have most likely been Lotte (obvious nn for Charlotte in Denmark), which I know I'd hate today, because I don't even like it.
My brother will call me Charlie sometimes, though, which is my nickname on the InterWebz and I react to, when someone addresses me online. And when my brother calls me that.
So, maybe Charlie?

Tory for Victoria. Some people in my family call me Tor. When my friends in middle/high school wanted to annoy me they'd call me Vicky.
As a kid, I got a kick out of being able to look up Toryism in the dictionary.
I've mostly stopped using it when I introduce myself though. (I'm pretty soft-spoken, so a lot of times people end up hearing Cori or Terry or Troy; even most of my family still misspells it as Tori or Torie. Everyone understands Victoria the first time).
I also feel like Tory has an 80s vibe that I don't particularly like.

Jenny
If I'm getting on my sister's nerves, Jennyfer (Jenny-fer). She also told her kids that if they somehow got separated from us in a store, they should start yelling "Jennyfer", since there are so many Jennifers and they probably aren't Jennyfer.
Nenny- when my nephew was starting to talk
Suzy- when my mom and some other relatives call me by my sister's name

Bunyip.
Awesome!
Yep. Except it turns out my aunt has been mishearing it all this time and thinking it was Bunion.
Bunion is not such an awesome nickname.
I pointed that out when she told me, and she's like yeah, I was wondering why your dad was calling you that, I was really confused.
For most of my life.
I also get Bun, Bunny and Bunnykins, which are all a little on the cutesy side these days.

I went to school with a girl nick-named Bunny;her actual name was Jaunita! Not Latina at all, just a childhood endearment-type name.
