It's a decent name; not too common but familiar & easy to spell. I thought about using it for a while, as my great-great-grandmother was a Helena. Both she and my cousin who was named after her went by Nell. I pronounce it helen-uh, and haven't heard any other pronunciations in the UK.

I quite like it, but I like Helen much more.Where I live, the English pronunciation is Helen + a; other languages do things differently.
