Carson for a girl?!
For some reason over the past few weeks I have been starting to crush on Carson for a girl. It is strictly in the GP pile (I would totally use it on a boy) and I don't like Karsyn or any other weird versions. WDYT?

I actually think it's really cool. I would rather meet a girl Carson than a boy Carson.

Carson is ugly enough on a boy. To me, it's totally unacceptable on a girl. Any -son ending name on a girl is ridiculous.

It's not my style for a boy, but exponentially more lame on a girl.

I think it totally works on a girl. I don't love it on a girl because I love it on a boy and I feel like names only move toward girls and then don't come back to boys. Those thieving girls! But it sounds okay.

I've actually only seen this name used once before, and it was on a girl. I rather like it, honestly. It's good for a boy, too.

I dislike it. It doesn't have an appealing sound to me. I also lived in Carson City, NV for a while so that springs to mind immediately.

I could see it being used for a girl pretty easily. It worked for Carson McCullers... Maybe that's why I don't think it's so odd. I think I'd rather meet a female Carson than a male one.

I agree, I don't like Carson, but I find it more unappealing on a male. It's way more country-club, sweater-tied-around-shoulders prepster than even Carter; at least for a girl, it would just be kind of trendy.

I like it for a boy but not a girl. I mean it does say SON. That's just my take on it.

Yuck. It's awful on a boy and atrocious on a girl.

Sorry, but I think it's ugly and harsh. I don't like it on a boy either. There are some traditionally-surname names and some traditionally-male names that I can see the appeal of when used on girls, but this is not one of them. I'd prefer to see Carla or Carmen.

I'm not a fan of any name ending in -son for a girl.
