Livingston?
What do you think of the name Livingston? I think I'd use it as a middle name, for a girl. It's a name that my father always kind of wanted to use, though he never got to. It has family significance--it's a street he grew up on, and it's rather important to me, too.
If it was a first name, hypothetically, what would be some good nicknames? All that're coming to mind are Liv and Livvie, and I don't like either of those.

I like Livingston. It reminds me of Jonathan Livingstone the seagull...
Livingston is a surname to me. It's not one of those like "Tucker" or "Parker" that can be a 1st name as easily. I especially don't like it for a girl.
Livingston is so surnamey that I'm glad you would use it as a middle name. I don't like it as a girl's name though unless it's really a family name. I realize it has some significance to you and your father, but for some reason I just don't like it on a girl. It sounds so harsh. I don't like Liv or Livvie either as nicknames if Livingston were to be used as a first name. Can't think of any good nicknames either ... that's a hard one.
when i first hear this name i think of a high class gentleman
as a girls name i kinda like it
maybe if you dont like liv or livvie im not sure if it would make any sense but what about libby? i have a distant cousin whose name i think is olivia but they always call her libby, i think it's cute.

My grandmother's maiden name (but spelled Livingstone, I think).
I like it as a middle name, but it doesn't really work as a first name in my opinion. Just too surnamey for that.
