Micah
I've just remembered how much I like the name Micah. I used to work at a preschool and there was a Micah there who was just the most gorgeous child I've ever seen - he'd be about 9 now. The only problem was that the other preschool teachers couldn't spell his name and always put Miach or something else weird!
What do you think of Micah? What about Micaiah, maybe with Micah as a nickname? Any middle name suggestions?

We have some close friends who have a DS named Micah. He just turned 5 years old, like our DS Jasper. It is a nice name, although I wouldn't use it myself. Micaiah is great too, though better as a mn since I think most people wouldn't have a clue how to pronounce it! There are plenty of names that would work as a mn for Micah imo, just depends what you are after.
I love Micah!! It has recently jumped to number 2 on my list =) I think it's normal without being common, and it's refreshing next to Michael. As for misspelling it, I can imagine... I've seen people misspell or mispronounce a lot of names (I also work in child care). That wouldn't stop me though, anyone with a bit of common sense will figure it out pretty quickly.
I like just Micah as I find Micaiah a bit too long (and easier to misspell) but Micah would work as a nn for it.
I like Micah Jared =)

I love Micah and Micaiah. I'd be more likely to use Micaiah as a middle name, and Micah as a first name.
I prefer Micaiah to Micah, but as a nickname it's fine.
Possible middle names:
Micaiah James
Micaiah Nicholas
Micaiah Paul
Micaiah Peter

I dislike it. (sorry)
My bad personal impression: the only Micah I've ever known was a girl, and I liked her and her name a lot, and so it's feminine in my mind and I like it as a feminine name. Micah on a guy seems to me like a softened, less masculine, weaker version of Mike or Michael. It makes sense to me that Micah would seem appealing on a tender, pretty child. And like so many biblical male names ending in AH, it also has an archaic religious vibe for me.
Micaiah is mik-KYE-uh or mik-KAY-uh to me; pronouncing it my- seems artificial to me. And Micaiah is even more white-bearded patriarch-y to me than Micah is.
Anyway regardless of my personal impression, I think the pronunciation of Micaiah is troublesome. It's the kind of name where, if I were introduced to a Micaiah, I would not remember the pronunciation the first time I was taught - I think I'd have to be corrected repeatedly. So I'd rather see Micah than Micaiah nn Micah.

That's weird about the spelling thing. Micah seems like a pretty easy name to know how to spell.
Anyway, Micah is my absolute favorite name for a boy and I could probably gush about it for several paragraphs, but I'll spare you. I'll just say that I love it for being adorably rugged and respectably scholarly at the same time. Boy's names that are versatile and masculine without being "butch" are my favorites, and Micah embodies those qualities perfectly.
I like Micaiah, it's one of the very few names that I like for both boys and girls. I do prefer Micah, possibly because it's sleeker and simpler. As for Micah as a nickname, it could work, of course, but if I met a Micaiah who went by Micah, I'd always wonder why his parents didn't just use Micah.
Micah Wesley is at the top of my list. Other middles could maybe be...
Micah Samson
Micah Gabriel
Micah Francis
Micah Charles
Micah Edmond
Micah Solomon
Micah Paul
Micah Scott
Micah Todd
Micah Harald
Micah Reginald
Micah Joshua
Micah Seamus
Micah Forrest
Micah Winslow

I like Micah very much, though it does kind of feel trendy. There's a surge of cute biblical names like Micah, Jonah, Ezra, etc., but I'm into it.
I'll probably always prefer Michael, but at least with Micah he won't inevitably be Mike. I think Micaiah nn Micah would be unnecessary, just do one or the other.
It's kind of a choppy name so middle names are surprisingly difficult.
Micah Louis
Micah Walter
Micah Charles
Micah Rupert
Micah Benjamin
Micah Vincent
Micah Samson
Micah Lawrence
Micah Timothy
Micah Paulus

I don't know why Micah would be so hard for teachers to spell...
Micah happens to be my godfather's name, so hearing the name makes me think of a rather jovial Hawaiian and all-around decent guy.

I don't know why either, maybe they just weren't trying that hard!
