Lilac
What is your opinion on the name Lilac?
Which syllable do you stress when you say it?
What middle names would you put with it? (Or first names)
Do you think it is usable?
thank you

Lilac is the name of a flower/plant I am allergic to. So that makes me hate the name, although I can see why people would think it pretty and usable. I stress the first syllable.

I like Lilac. It wouldn't be my go to favorite flower name (more of a Lavender, girl, really).
Lie-lack, occassionally Lie-lehck. The stress is on the first syllable.
I totally think it is usable, and cute.
I would however go with a more traditional middle name, in case my little Lilac wasn't so fond of her name.
Lilac Gwendolen
Lilac Marguerite
Lilac Isabelle
Lilac Alice
Lilac Olivia
Lilac Sophia
Lilac Amelia
Lilac Evangeline
Lilac Elizabeth

I stress the first syllable, just like in the English word.
I do quite like Lilac, especially since I am fond of bold floral names (i.e. Amaryllis, Begonia, Marigold, Petunia, etc).
Lilac has the added benefit of having a specific color and scent memory for people, besides being short and recognizable to the general public. It's one of the better flower names in my opinion.
I considered using it to honor my grandmother Lila, so, yeah, I think it is usable.
Lilac Amabel
Lilac Francine
Lilac Malvina
Lilac Rosalie
Lilac Haizea
Lilac Simone
Anna Lilac
Wendy Lilac
Priscilla Lilac
Madison Lilac
Veronica Lilac
Prinia Lilac
Bethany Lilac
Dulcie Lilac
Noemi Lilac
Hope that helps!

I sure wouldn't want to use it or have it as a name. It's sickly sweet, like some kind of perfume that old ladies wear too much of. I love the flower and the smell of it, but in small doses.
LIE-lack, with almost equal stress.
