I really like it for a boy, but that may be because it's used for a guy on the show the 100, so I'm using to seeing it as a masculine name.
I've only heard the name as a surname but it seems more feminine to me. It's the Bell/ Bella portion that kills it for me, plus I tend to associate y's with feminine names just because there are so many female names that contain y's.
Yes. I love Bellamy for a boy. I was introduced to it in a book where a group of kids named a lovable, stray, male dog Bellamy. It's just so open and friendly. I'm not exactly sure how usable it'd be realistically (because quite a few people think it sounds feminine), but I guess that'd depend a lot on where you live.
Muse is my favourite band, so all I'm hearing is Matt Bellamy, really. Of course that's not a bad association imo, but I wouldn't give this as a first name to either gender. I like it more on a boy though, I can see it as a sweet middle name.
I really like it! It's a place name quite nearby to where I live, and I went past one day and thought how cute a name it would be. I'd love to meet a little Bellamy.
I've only ever heard Bellamy on a boy from two TV shows that I watch - one where it is his first name and the other where the main character's last name is Bellamy but it is what he is referred to 99% of the time.
I like it somewhat, mainly because of the associations mentioned above, but I can see why a lot of people think it is feminine.

I like it. The only Bellamy I ever met was a girl, and I always felt it would be better on a boy.
It makes me think of Matthew Bellamy.

I love it! I think it's so handsome and sounds really good as a middle name :)
I know a guy called Bellamy, it's his surname but what he uses as his given name. It's how I was introduced to him and I find it to be handsome and fun.
I really don't like it. It looks like "my Bella" backwards and the name itself sounds completely awkward and uggie. I don't like it as a first\middle name. But then again, I don't even care for it as a surname
Bellamy sounds more like a last name to me...but maybe that's only because I've heard of Bill Bellamy. lol
