"Sighting" + Celebrity BA
This morning my mother told me about her Italian colleague. Her name is Stefania and she has (twin?) daughters Lavinia and Eleonora.Kimi Räikkönen, a Finnish Formula One racing driver for Ferrari, and his fiancée Minna-Mari "Minttu" Virtanen named their son Robin Ace Matias. Matias is also Kimi's middle name and honouring to Kimi's father Matti. Ace was made up by Robin's godfather Gino Rosato, who works for Ferrari: it's a sort of joke for Kimi's nickname "Iceman" ("Ace and "Ice" kind of rhyme, right?).Personally, I adore my mother's colleague's and her daughters' names. In the case of Kimi Räikkönen's son's name, I would have prefer just Robin Matias. Even though Kimi and his family live abroad, Ace just seems "wrong" for a child of two Finnish persons. Actually, I don't like Ace even for a English speaking person. What do you think of these names?

Moi moi! :)Lavinia and Eleonora are gorgeous names.
Robin Matias is nice, but I don't like Ace.
Minttu is cute! Is it a common name in Finland? I've seen it as a surname.

Moi! :)Minttu is quite common name Finland: last year it was the 34th popular girls' name. However, I've never seen Minttu used as a surname! Even the Finland's Population Register Centre tells that there are no people with surname Minttu in Finland.

I absolutely love the names Lavinia and Eleanora! Also I believe they work well together as a pair. For Robin Ace Matias, I think the same as you. I don't like the name Ace anyway but it seems a little out of place in this name. It flows well though and it has a nice sound to it.
