Susan!
How do you feel about Susan? I think it's pretty, but I wonder if I'm the only one. To me it's similar to Sarah, but it wasn't overused in my generation like Sarah was so it gets my attention more.

I know a Susanna and a bunch of Suzannes, but not one Susan. I like it a lot- it's less classic than Sarah, but I know what you mean about a similar feel.
My sister is a Susan from that generation of Sarahs. I think only Melissa and Melissa from Sunday school/ confirmation were the only girls in the group whose name didn't start with an S. It's a good name.
It's okay. It can look cute and mature at the same time and I think that it should have a comeback but it's not really my style.
It's my mother's middle name and she's never liked it, but I think it's pretty and due a revival. I'd love to see / hear of a little Susan.
I think it's pretty too. It was probably as overused as Sarah in its time, but it's definitely uncommon now.
I like Suzanne even more.

True, Susan was a couple generations ago (maybe more). It's probably most linked to people in their 50s and 60s right now.
I happen to really like the name Susan. I know many, so wouldn't use it IRL, but it's a pretty and solid choice.
To be honest, I love that it is simple compared to Susannah or Suzette, etc... but I also like that it lends to retro nicknames like Susie or Zanie.

It was overused in a previous generation so it's dated now. I halfway like it, but its datedness plus the fact that I far prefer Susannah would keep me from ever using it.
Very nice, clean, classic but not overused name.
I like Susan, it doesn't feel dated to me and I like the nicknames you can use for it. However, Susan is the variant of this name I like the least. I saw you don't like Susanna, I won't suggest that. But how about Suzan, Suzanne, Shoshana, Shoshan? But Susan's perfectly fine as well.
I like Susan. It has neatness about it - sort of a midcentury tidy sleekness like Carol, Janet, and Gail, that isn't in style exactly, but neither is it fusty because it's too classic. And it's not as tired as Sarah. I prefer Susan over florid Susannah by far. To me it is more similar to Sharon because I have often gotten mixed up about who is a Sharon and who's a Susan! But I like Sharon too.
Too dated for me.
Susanna is better. Slightly.

Thats what I see suggested a lot online. I feel like the -zan sound is so much harsher, so I don't like Susannah/Suzanna
