Diego, Cisco, Santos?
Replies
Diego is OK, I just never really warmed to it. Cisco is great, but only as a nickname for the *fabulous* Francisco.
Santos? Perhaps in Spanish it's normal, but to this Anglo speaker it's uncomfortably religious. This, from someone who loves names like Annunziata and Salvatore. Go figure.

I have always thought Diego was really nice, but I'm not sure if the children's show has made it less usable right now. I also really love Tiago.
Cisco is too close to Crisco for me. It just seems more like a brand name than a person's name.
Santos is okay. I've never really thought about it before. It's kind of close to Santa. It's all right though.

I don't really like the names that you brought up but Santos is the name that I dislike the least.
Diego, to me, sounds a bit stereotypical and Cisco reminds me of Cisco Systems. Santos does mean "saints," but since this is the only one out of the 3 that I'm actually OK with, I do not seem to care what it means.

Diego is hip and cool. I met a boy named Diego whose sister was Esme.
Cisco is a little on the glib side. Company name and all. But I like Francisco. I worked with a Francisco, loved saying his name.
Santos, I dunno ... it pretty plainly (to me) means saints, and that doesn't appeal to me a lot. Surnamey. But it's not bad.

I like Diego. The others can jump in a lake.
