I like Asa. I like male names ending in 'a' for some reason. Maybe because it's a bit subversive, like girls' names ending in 'o'.

I always thought Asa sounded like a feminine name so I prefer it for a girl. I recently met a 20 something guy named Asa and I told him he had a cool name and he said not when he was growing up, he was bullied a lot, because of his name. He said he likes it now but it was definitely hard on him as a child.

I don't mind Asa at all. Quite handsome. My husband wouldn't go for it because he thought it sounded/looked too feminine.
