I say: KAW-s'ma. The S is almost a Z, and the name barely has 3 syllables.
It's usable, but I don't particularly like it. It's like the name
Cosmo, sort of self-consciously heroic/nerdy, and also distinctively Italian in the way that
Cosette or
Colette is distinctively French. I think it's about as appealing as those names, too - it's OK, nms. It also makes me think of what
Barbara Kingsolver said about the names two of her characters, sisters named Halimeda and
Cosima - the names were supposed to suggest their father's distant, intellectual attitude towards his daughters (I really liked the name Halimeda but I think both names do seem really nerdy, unless you're Italian I guess). The
Cosima character was called Codi btw.
