I associate Maxine with WWII Paris, for some reason. That makes it all the chic-er (is that a word?) and dangerously romantic.

My only fear about this name is the obvious go-to nickname: Maxi / Maxie. Maxi-pads are all too available for the immature teaser. Normally I try not to dwell on a name's teasing potential because all names can be twisted. But this one is just too easy, at least here in the U.S. :0/ Maybe I'm wrong. I hope so.
