Well I know a lot of different Mary- names and Marie in French is like Mary. I know an Anne-Marie but they don't pronounce Marie the French way. I know a Mary-Alice, a Mary-Therese, a Mary-Catharine, and other ones.

Indeed, the pronunciation of "Marie" in French is more like "Mah-ree" instead of May-Ree. Therese is a very old name where I live, just like "Gertrude" or "Henriette". hehe.
