Just be careful: tranny is actually a derogatory term, just like fa***t (censored) for gay people for example. I do like the name Alice, I just have the feeling it doesn't suit me. >.<ADT: Matilde is an interesting one too.Serafina Starstrider: I never heard of someone called Marie-Alice actually. Marie-Anne is a great alternative to Marianne, however. (^^)kvpp88: Caroline and Marianne are popular, it seems. :P

Well I know a lot of different Mary- names and Marie in French is like Mary. I know an Anne-Marie but they don't pronounce Marie the French way. I know a Mary-Alice, a Mary-Therese, a Mary-Catharine, and other ones.

Indeed, the pronunciation of "Marie" in French is more like "Mah-ree" instead of May-Ree. Therese is a very old name where I live, just like "Gertrude" or "Henriette". hehe.
