The article was funny, though I didn't agree with it.
I think you could put any name in there and it would work as humor (Heidi, Heidi, Heidi, Heidi, Hiedi, Heidi, Heidi... did you even notice the mispelling?)
In any case, Glen is one of those names like Rose, Cliff and Lily to me... People don't stop and think about how pretty it is as a nature name. They just recognize it for the oodle of eldery touting it today. I think it works and would consider it myself had I no better options.
