Heather
What're your thoughts and impressions of Heather? Would you use it?

Thoughts and impressions:
It was very very popular.
Why?
I don't know.
It's very harsh sounding and not pretty at all.
I've known a ton of people with this name.
It's my niece's name, but that doesn't cause me to like it any more.
Would I use it? HELL NO. Even if I liked it, it was way way too popular, and it's sunk like a stone. All popular names sink eventually, but Heather has sunk faster than most, so it has become very dated very quickly.

I think it's very pretty. It is definitely dated in the US, but still sounds youthful. I understand that in UK, Heather is very much a grandmother's name, which is funny. Heather and Jennifer were popular there a long time before they were here, but Jessica is now way more popular there, having already hit its peak twenty years ago in the US.
I wouldn't mind using Heather, though there's lots of other names I'd choose first.

Its nice. I would only use it for a character
It is nice but just not amazed by it. A bit plain

I actually think it is really pretty. I wouldn't use it myself because it is the name of my mom's stepsister and it is very dated.
