Chloé, Elisa or Celina?
Replies
Elisa
I vote for Elisa. (I also like Elise/Elyse, but the a on the end does make it a little softer. Elysa could be nice, too, on that note.)
It seems like it's in between your other two options in style - feminine but a bit modern and energetic. I do prefer it to Elissa/Alyssa, which to me where I'm from is less classic and more dated.
I don't think it's confusing to pronounce (I'd say it eh-LEE-suh like Lisa), and the nickname options are good: Ellie, Elle, Lisa, Lis/Lise, Lia?, Li/Lee.
Good luck! Let us know what you decide on!

Thank you very much for your feedback!
Thank you all for your helps, you guys are great!
Chloe without an accent is the most classy of the lot, in spite of its recent popularity bulge. But Chloé, unless you plan on always using the French pronunciation, is tacky and silly.
Celina wouldn't get as many jokey comments as Celine, but it's still very close and also pretty similar to Selina and Serena. I'd rather use Celia any day, but I'm not you.
Elisa ... would that be eh LEE sa, eh LEE za, eh LIE za or something else? Just how much explaining do you want you and your daughter to do, every day of her life?

My thoughts:
Chloe is a really cool name, but it is frequent enough to have acquired a sort of bratty image in my mind.
Celina is unusual without being very striking. It's not forgettable, though, and sounds sophisticated, and not pretentious. I like it most.
Elisa is pretty, but weaker than the other two.

I have never liked Chloe. It was so popular when I was growing up and every single one of them I knew was not a very nice person. Chloe redeemed herself a little bit when I met a child with the name - twin sister to a Sophie - who was cute, confident, polite and basically a very sweet little girl.
I find the Celina spelling of the name odd but Selena too tied with a certain Miss Gomez. In all I like the sound of the name but I'm not sure of it's wearability in real life with any spelling. I prefer Elena as a similar alternative.
And finally. Elisa is quite nice but sticks out in your life. Lisa is sweet and sassy enough on it's own, on my list I have Alyssa because I think the nicknames Lyssa and Lyssie are very sweet. Other "Lisa" names I love are Anneliese and Alisa.

I'm done with Chloe. It's too popular and I'm tired of it. It's a fairly nice name though, just too popular.
Celina makes me think of three people: Selena Gomez, Celine Dion and my cousin who's name is pronounced like Celine but spelled differently. There's nothing wrong with the name, but it feels quite childish for some reason.
I guess Elisa could be viewed as nicknamey, but I like it. I've recently started liking Elisa a lot more than Eliza. It has a different feel to it. It feels simple, in a good way. So my vote goes to Elisa.
