Lynsey BA

Lynsey is an ugly spelling, but I went to high school with a Lynzi and it's miles better than that.
I had a Lynsey colleague once who was a compromise. One of her parents wanted to name her Lesley but the other preferred Lynn, so they did a merger. Knowing that made me feel pretty well OK about it, but if it's a kree8iv variation just because they could, I'm not so sure.
The one I knew was Lynsey Margaret. I think it flows better than Lynsey Ellen, but then I don't like Ellen so it might be the prejudice talking.

I think it's sweet.
First thought: Lindsay is ugly as sin.
Second thought: Why in the heck was Lindsay ever popular?
Third thought: But it was, and now it's dated, and the fact that Lynsey is spelled differently doesn't mean that it's not dated, also.
Fourth thought: The spelling Lynsey actually improves it. A little.
Ellen was my favorite name when I was ten. I don't dislike it now, but certainly don't like it enough for it to be my favorite name. It's surprisingly nice in the middle name spot.
