You are so fortunate to have an Italian surname! I am about half Italian with an Irish surname (my boyfriend has an Irish/Scottish surname as well and not a drop of Italian blood), so most Italian first names would sound a little ridiculous with either of our last names (not that we're discussing names for our children right now...). I do love Italian names, though...some of these came straight from my Italian textbook, too. Good luck choosing a name! :)
