Two British sibsets
I came across two real-life British sibsets just now. The two sibsets are cousins---their fathers are brothers.Arthur, Delilah, and Henry.Otto and Pearl.I know that Arthur is much more popular in the UK than in the US. But as I'm American, it caught my eye, as did Delilah.Otto and Pearl really caught my eye, too. I can't find anything redeeming in Otto, though I do find Pearl retro-charming. I like Delilah, but I think it has a "vamp" vibe due to the Biblical story that I think would render it unusable to me personally. What do you think?

I love Arthur! I live in the UK and, as you say, it's more common and acceptable to use here. Just love it!Delilah is okay, but not as nice as Arthur and Henry. Otto and Pearl are not my style, they both seem old and Otto reminds me of the druggie bus driver from The Simpsons

Wow, it sounds like sibsets from a few generations ago (in a good way). I like Arthur and Henry. I agree with you about the "vamp vibe" from Delilah. It's a pretty sound, but the association's too weird for me. Otto is kind of ugly to me, but it could work on the right person. I think Pearl is very sweet, though. I hope it comes back a little (don't want it getting too trendy!). Overall, both sibsets mesh very well together. Much better than mine and my cousin's names -- a mix of classic English names + trendy 80s names!

Nice. I like all the names.

Interesting sets and they work well, though I wouldn't use Arthur, Delilah or Otto. I agree that Delilah is one of those names that is out of bounds due to the Biblical connotations. Otis and Pearl would have been gorgeous and I would prefer Lila to Delilah.

I have to say, (as a Brit) that I'm not a fan of any of those names! But they are interesting sibsets. They'd catch my eye too.I know someone with a toddler age daughter named Pearl. And the other day I was waiting for a bus and a mother and her small boy got on and the mother said, "come along, Otto." I can see Otto catching on among the middle-class, arty sort of crowd.

I (surprisingly) love all of the names and think that they make nice sibsets...
Otto and Pearl as a sibset is so unexpected, but lovely!

I love Delilah. I don't see it as vampy but I know a lot of people do. I tend to not care about Biblical back stories very much.Pearl is interesting because I feel like I've been hearing a lot about it recently but I haven't met anyone with the name. I'm starting to like it but it's a tough journey since I despised it not too long ago.Otto is a good name for a car.Henry is fine and strong. A little bland but not bad.Arthur is ugly.

Ooh, I love the first one! Really nice. And while Pearl is growing on me, I'm not ready to like it in the fn spot just yet. Otto is unattractive to me.

I think Otto is cute for a pet's name. I don't really like it on a person. I love Pearl however.

Otto is badass, AND a palindrome. Nothing redeeming about it? Pfft .I like all the names.

I don't really like Anna, either. And I hate Hannah. So there.

I'm not crazy about Anna, but I tolerate it. I love Hannah, though.
