I was trying to think of names Pemma could be a nn for, but was having some difficulty.
Obviously there's Pamela, then I was thinking maybe like Palmira, Permelia, Philomela, Philomena, Polymnia, Pomponia, Primrose, and Primula.

Yeah, I searched p*m* and it seemed like it might work for may of those. I just didn't see any I loved.

haha, that's what I searched! I wasn't even sure it would work, so it was a nice surprise it did. Anyway, yeah I agree. I didn't like any of the 'full' names more than I like Pemma.
