I never used to like this, but a few years ago our very good friends had a daughter named Scarlett and she's adorable. So I guess it grew on me.

I like it. It definitely leaves an impression on you, sticks in your mind. It's bold but in a lush kind of way, not obnoxious.

I like it well enough. I'm on the fence about whether I prefer it with or without that second T.
It's vibrant, strong, and a tad flashy. It's one of those names I can appreciate on someone else, but wouldn't want for myself or choose for my daughter.

I'd already made up my mind before clicking this to say that I found Scarlett to be a striking name. So your wording amused me!
But yes, I think it's bold but feminine. However, there's something that keeps me from liking it and I'm not entirely sure what it is... maybe it feels too agressive for me or something.

I am on the fence about it. I think it's fine on other people and their kids. But I probably would never use it because it has a kind of self-consciousness that I'm not comfy in. It's similar to the way I feel about Athena. It's a name that grabs your attention and you can't forget it, and it reflects a little glow of power or impact onto the bearer. But, only so superficially. Because at the same time, when I meet someone called Athena or Scarlett, I can't help thinking it's kind of an air put on, kind of tongue-in-cheek, like a little joke. The joke being, not a joke on the bearer, but a joke on any fools who'd actually be intimidated by the boldness of the name. It's like, yeah that is an awesome name - of course you're not quite as awesome as it is, but it sure is an awesome name. And hey, it brings awesomeness to mind, and that has a positive effect on the impression you make.

Overly dramatic, theatrical, borderline tacky. More appropriate to a cat than a person.

Although I love the name, I agree with your assessment that it's overly dramatic and theatrical. I knew that it was a name that I loved but could never see myself actually using. Now that you've said it's overly dramatic and theatrical, I realize that's why I would never use it. I would find having a daughter with the name slightly embarrassing. Because it's overly dramatic and theatrical, although I wasn't thinking those words until I saw what you'd said.
Even though I wouldn't use it, I still love it, and I'm glad that other people are using it. I also find it interesting that while it was obviously introduced via GWTW, it took approximately sixty years for it to start being used. Then again, my name was also introduced via a novel, and it took approximately thirty years after the novel was published for my name to start being used in any appreciable numbers. I wonder why the lag?

I love it. It makes me think of a young and attractive and vibrant woman. It's impudent. I love that about it.
Funny thing is, it rhymes with Charlotte, and I really dislike Charlotte, and have the opposite image of it---old, dowdy, frumpy, shy. I guess the initial sound makes all the difference.

I love how brazen the character is, but the name itself sounds violent to me.

I don't like it because all I hear is 'scar'. It's ugly to me.
