I always wonder if parents who have these names for their kids know they are picking different versions of the same name. Maybe the dad is named John. It's a nice set, regardless.

The fact they're derivatives of the same name doesn't bother me add much add the fact that they are far too similar to each other. Ivan and Ian are only one letter different, for goodness sake!The parents almost certainly don't know the names are related.Jalayna and Janessa are also too similar IMO.

I wondered that myself when I saw it. Honestly, I think they don't know, cause it seems clear they were just going for 'I' names lol. My sister and I have the "same" mn (Rhoda and Rose), and it was unintentional. It's kinda funny when it happens though I can't help but feel a bit bad for the kids in a family when it's their first names lol.
