I think of the band Jethro Tull. My dad likes them.

No combo suggestions from me atm, but I just thought I'd add that Tim Foreman of the band Switchfoot has a son named Jethro. They call him Jett for short. :P So you aren't alone in liking the name. x)

Jethro Robert just came to me and I think it sounds rather nice.

I too love the name Jethro, it's actually on the list if we have another boy! I also don't care about tv references which people love to bring up! Jethro Elias is gorgeous and Jethro Silas would be great too. I am also keen on Jethro Isaac, Jethro Asher, Jethro Amos, Jethro Solomon, Jethro Darcy, Jethro Dexter, Jethro Luke, Jethro Henry, Jethro Felix, Jethro Finnegan, Jethro Zane, Jethro Christian, Jethro Vincent, Jethro Benjamin, Jethro Barnaby, Jethro Miles, Jethro Max and Jethro Maximilian.

Interesting! I think in order to distance it from the "image" Jethro has in the contemporary world, I'd pair it with something modern and sophisticated. Jethro Elias is very nice. I know you like Biblical names so I'd also suggest:

I like Jethro but I'd never use it. It's strictly a GP for me. Silas Jethro is a pretty good combo!
