Mandy and Randy
I am going to have my second daughter soon. Our first one is named after me, her name is Emily Rose. And we want to second to be named after my husband. We want to name her Mandy Marie (my husbands name is Randy) but we don't want them spelled the same. We thought of Mandie, Mandi and Mandee. We like Mandee the best. I was just wondering how other people felt.

I prefer Mandy out of them all, and only as a nickname but if it has to be used as a full name then I'd go with Mandy. It's popular and common use spelling, plus it just looks better.
Out of Mandie, Mandi and Mandee. I'd pick Mandie, it looks the best out of the three. Sorry but I think Mandee just looks cutesy and trendy.

Ditto, except Mandie's alright to me
I'm also seconding all the recommendations for Miranda, and not just because it's my name. It's a pretty name that's not frequently used, and it does have that Shakespeare connection. I myself wasn't named for Shakespeare, but for the moon of Uranus that was blown up yet came back together again. My mother got the name from a NOVA episode on moons other than Luna.
There's also good ol' Amanda, which actually isn't used all that often anymore. Some people think of "A man, duh" or "Amanda Hugginkiss" (or BtN's own six-month-long ordeal with a semi-troll named Amanda), but strangely I'm not reminded of any of these when I hear the name.
Another possibility's Admiranda, a medieval name that appeared in England in 1231-32 (http://snipurl.com/8wbl). Or you could use Branda, which gains legitimacy imo by being so similar to Brenda. And finally there's Brandy's, another popular 1970/1980s name almost never seen anymore; but it may be thought of as a bit trashy by some--and if you use Brandy, for the love of a dictionary please only spell it Brandy.

*Sigh*
It happened some time ago, but the scars just won't go away... *Sniffles*
Um, anyway... Valerie Rose (who's apparently stopped coming to this site now) posted a summary, including a detailing of the first of several long "episodes" involving the Great Amanda: http://www.behindthename.com/bb/arcview.php?id=211546&board=ot. Chrisell also compiled some posts of hers that demonstrates what kind of person she was: http://www.behindthename.com/bb/arcview.php?id=211595&board=ot.
(Incidentally, Natlia/Macke/Mandie are gone now too. We can date rather quickly 'round here!)
Basically, she not only started vicious fights between the board and her, but also infected board members with her animosity so they began to fight each other too.
There was some respite between fights, but they only lasted a few days at a time, from what I remember. I've probably blocked out a large part of the whole horror though, for my own sanity. ;-)
If you want more (why?!), just go to the Lounge and use the Search there to look for "Amanda". The Lounge is where most of the drama happened, but it's worth searching for her here on Opinions too, because there were some kerfuffles here surrounding her so-called "names" (sample: Jhye was her son's name, pr. JIE).

Wow.
That's all I have to say. I went through something very similar on the forum of a MySpace group which also led to the point of those people having their profiles deleted. Unfortunately they came back and so I just had to ban them. They've created at least 8 different profiles to try and harass me but I just keep on blocking them... I wish MySpace did the whole IP address thing too. It'd be a lot better, but then again it's a massive site.

I like the suggestion of Miranda too...
If you're sure about Mandy though, I really only like that spelling. Cutely, silly, flightly spellings are ok on little girls but end up looking ridiculous on grown women.
I also dislike the sound of Mandy Marie (or Miranda Marie). A middle name that doesn't start with an M would sound a lot better imo. Plus Marie is just boring and completely overused as a mn.

God please NO. No trendy spellings! Mandy is just fine, actually I suggest just naming her Amanda and keeping Mandy as a nn since I'm pretty sure your husband's name is Randall (if not, they all the the more reason to go with Amanda).

When I see Mandee (with two Es), I think of "manatee." Personally, since the Mandy spelling is out, I would choose Mandie. However, Mandie Marie looks a little funny because of the -ie and -ie endings together. Mandi looks abrupt to me... So I don't know; tough question.
What's wrong with Mandy? Since you and your first daughter have the same name, I don't see a problem with your second daughter and your husband having almost the same spelling of names.

All children, except one, grow up.... You always know after you are two. Two is the beginning of the end.

I don't like Mandy at all. It's too nicknamey, and what's more is it seems to early 90's nicknamey to me. Two two-syllable names both starting with the same letter sounds too rhymy to me, also.
What about Miranda? Miranda has a visual connection to your husband's name and, in my opinion, is substantial and beautiful.
