Cecily or Cecilie?
Naming my daughter Cecily, but can't decide which spelling to use? I would love to hear your opinions :)
Also, are there any other spellings of this name you know? :)

Cecily- the more traditional spelling will get people to pronounce the name correctly. People might mistake Cecelie for Cecelia.
If you're going to use the French pronunciation, then you should certainly go for Cecilie, and also prepare for a lifetime of explanations. But it isn't easy making French noises in an English environment! I'd stick to lovely Cecily.
As for other spellings, there's Cicely or Cicily, but Sis isn't the best short form in the world. Cecily was your first choice for a reason - stay with it.

Cecily.
Cecilie just looks silly.

I prefer the spelling Cecily.
Ah, I really like Cecily! It's one of my favorites. Beautiful name! I think it's fine as it is. Something about Cecilie just doesn't look right. Somehow I think the Cecil looks more prominent, and it seems to distract and take away from the name's simplistic elegance. Or maybe I'm just rambling about stuff that makes no sense. (hearty laughter) Who knows. I do love Cecily, though.
I've seen Secily, I think. It isn't bad, but I do prefer Cecily.
