I think the upsurge in Jenson is down to Jenson Button who is inevitably popular here. I just checked and it's well inside the top 100 so actually not an unusual name. The fact it's not listed in the database always makes me think it must be unusual.Layton/Leighton - I don't know. I guess it has a similar sound to some other names like Logan and Ashton and L names in general. There's also an area of East London called Leyton, not sure if that would have had an influence or not.
