Niamh and Dylan
My sister's baby is due on March 26th and I am choosing the middle name...she has narrowed it down to Niamh or Dylan.
So the combinations I am nearly decided on are:
Niamh Anali and Dylan Thomas
WDYT?

Dylan Thomas is okay.
Niamh combos that I like better are Niamh Catherine, Elizabeth, Emiliana, Lovisa, Alessandra, Lilian, etc.

Hmmm. I like the flow of Niamh Anali, but with an unusual name like Niamh, I'd go for something a little more familiar. Two unusual names is trying too hard. The mn should compliment the fn, not fight for attention with it. How about:
Niamh Cathleen / Catherine
Niamh Christine
Niamh Eileen (= bright light*)
Niamh Charlotte
Niamh Iris (= bright rainbow)
Niamh Patricia (= bright noblewoman)
Niamh Clare
Niamh Maria / Marie / Marianne
Niamh Elizabeth
Niamh Olivia
Niamh Miranda
Niamh Eloise
Niamh Cecilia
Niamh Angela / Angelica (= bright angel)
Niamh Isabelle / Isabella
Niamh Adele
Niamh Celeste (= bright heaven)
Dylan Thomas was a poet. If your friend is into his poetry I could maybe see it. Even then, it's a little cheesey. It would be like naming a child Jack Kerouac or Robert Blake. How about:

Anali isn't listed at BtN - what's the origin/meaning?
Personally, I like Niamh Amelia - Anali doesn't really fit with Niamh imo.
Dylan Thomas is a lovely fit though. Very nice.

Dylan Thomas is nice, but Niamh Anali isn't so much... I like Niamh but Anali is nmsaa - and it really doesn't sound good with Niamh. Niamh has a short, classic sound to it and Anali takes away from that.
This would be easier if I knew the last name, but here are some suggestions:
Niamh Bridget
Niamh Willow
Niamh Rowan
Niamh Laurel

go with Dylan Thomas. I LOVE THE NAME DYLAN!!!!
if she goes with Niamh, Anali sounds good. But I like Dylan and Thomas fits.

You're giving the child two middle names, yes? What is the first name? Dylan Thomas sound better off the tongue than Niamh Anali. But as it's a middle name, which will likely be rarely spoken, either is a good choice.
