Jesse and Jason
What do you think of these two names? Is Jesse too feminine sounding? What do these names remind you of and how do you imagine someone with these names? Also thoughts on the nn Jase? And if you're in the mood, what would you pair them with?

I think Jesse is great. Underused, very boy-next-door, can suit a wide variety of personalities. Can't stand Jason or Jase. They sound slimy and remind of 80s jocks.

I love themI don't like popular names at all. Any overused names lose my interest pretty quickly. Except for these two... I don't think Jesse is feminine at all. I like it both with the English and Dutch pronunciation (which is YES-sə). I like the sound of Jase, but prefer the look of Jace, even though it doesn't really make sense. Again, Jace goes against my instincts when I think about what a name should be, but I just have a soft spot for it :)I see Jason as a cool mythology name. (I like Iason and Aeson too, they're less popular, but I see them along the same lines as I do Jason)

Jesse is handsome. It doesn't seem feminine to me at all. OTOH, Jessie does seem feminine. Combos: Jesse Alexander, Jesse Daniel, Jesse Gabriel, Jesse NicholasI've never been crazy about Jason which seems like the name of a spoiled brat to me. It has never sounded manly to me and I have no idea why yet I've always felt this way. Combos: Jason Patrick, Jason Robert, Jason Thomas

I like them both. Jesse is definitely not feminine to me, not in this spelling. Jessie on a guy is not so much feminine as it seems hillbilly. I picture a Jesse as a smart, outdoorsy, handsome kind of guy, and Jason as also smart and funny, maybe likes to plan elaborate pranks that do no harm.Jesse Patrick, Jason Craig?
