Re: Elizabeth

I like it. It's too grand to be bland ;)
Just this afternoon, upon telling my 6 year old that her baby cousin had just arrived, and was a girl (like my daughter had hoped/guessed) but has yet to be named....she says "oh I bet she'll be named Elizabeth. That's the perfect name for a baby princess" =) Cute, and I couldn't help but agree. My favourite nickname is Betsy, which after my aforementioned daughter was born for weeks I felt she was a Betsy. I named her in utero, and did not waiver from that, and now, her name is perfect for her. But at the time, when she was all chubby thighs and cheeks and a fuzzy little fauxhawk, she just seemed so Betsy to me.
That being said, I also love Eliza, Elsie, Elsa, Libby, Beth, and Betty. So many great options!
