Carol?
WDYTO Carol?
I hadn't really considered this name before, but someone mentioned it on a little girl not too long ago, and I've heard it in a show and at work and it's really growing on me. I'm having some trouble coming up with combos where it's the first name. DH also likes it so it will probably be on our girl's list when we reach that point, since we so rarely like the same names.
Anything goes!
Thanks in Advance!

It's got a 1950s vibe, and I do prefer Caroline, but I rather enjoy it. Certainly a whole lot better than Holly!
It's nice, I'd use it.
I like it a lot! It's lilting, but seems to have a nice simple clarity and brightness.
I think it looks old. All the Carols I know are over 55/60. It doesn't have the interest to me that Clara or Cora has, but I see the appeal when I visualize Christmas Carols versus just as a name. I suppose it could be the new hipster name though, seeing as how those people that are the age to have kids likely have parents name Carol and would like to use it to honor.
I hope it wouldn't give off a hipster impression especially since I'm in that age group. That is not my thing. I think it may need awhile more before it really hits its comeback stride its not quite old enough for that.
I like Carol! I think it's still dated, but I tend to like retro names. So I would definitely pair it with something a little more modern.
Caroline used to be on my list. I'm kind of falling out of love with it. I think its almost too pretty, haha. Thanks for the input.
That might have been me - I know a three-year-old Carol. I was quite surprised by her parents' choice, and then surprised by how much I liked it. I forget what her middle name is but I think it's something really ordinary like Elizabeth.
These might work:
Carol Amy
Carol Jessica
Carol Ellen
Carol Sylvie
Carol Verity

Ooh, I like Carol Naomi a lot.
I can see it's appeal even if it's dated. I don't have any suggestions, but I think that I would pair it with something frilly or ultra modern.
