Magdalen / Magdalene
I have seen the name Magdanlen(e) spelt with and without the 'e'. I was wondering which is the correct form, and which you personally prefer.

I like both, because to me they are different. I pronounce Magdalen mag-da-lin and Magdalene mag-da-leen.-Tara

I think they're both 'correct,' but Magdalene was the original. I prefer the Magdalene spelling, and I could pn it either way.

I far prefer Magdalen. That way, the pronunciation is clearer. I love the name._____________________________________________________________________Elinor

I pronounce them differently upon sight- Magdalen to me is (MAG-de-lin) while Magdalene is (MAG-da-leen). I could be entirely wrong there :)I prefer Magdalene.

Not being an expert on names, I'm not sure what the correct spelling is, but I prefer Magdalene :)
