I really don't like Andy, I prefer Andrew/Andreas/Andries etc.
Woody is kind of cute as a nickname for a child, not as a full name.

I met a little Woody recently - it was short for Edward / Edwood but his full name was hardly ever used. I thought it was quite cute, but then again he was 14 months old.
Together this is comical, and not in a good way, however after 14 years of living with it I'm sure the boys are used to it.
I'm not fond of Andy at all.

If I was a crazy enough Toy Story fan I would of named my kids Woody and Buzz.

Seriously? Why oh why must parents choose names for their children that make them the butt of a joke. I think anyone who has seen Toy Story (any of the 3) will automatically have that association. They were named 4 years after the films were released.
Besides that, they're too nicknamed to me. And woody is a popular slang for an erect penis. Not cool. It's okay on a character in a cartoon, but wouldn't be for my kid.
Andy is okay, just childish sounding as a full name.

I also though Toy Story. I wonder if that is the meaning behind the names? I dislike both names particularly Woody.

The parents LOVE Toy Story, so that's why they chose the names. In my opinion, they're not particularly bad names, but they're more like nicknames, and I wouldn't EVER call my son Woody because of all the jokes kids could make about it. And I certainly wouldn't use them as a combo.

Is it a bad thing that the first thing I thought of was Toy Story? But anyway, I think it's cute. I can't really see it for 14 year olds, though. Were they nicknames?
