Here Sarah and Sara are two different names, so we never have pronounciation problems with the locals, just with Americans and Canadians we meet. Which bugs me cause it's almost always a verbal introduction. I get that Sara = Sarah in some places and I'm not saying its wrong to say it like that, but it is wrong to say my Sara's name like that. If you see it written and pronounce it like that, couldn't care less. But when I say "this is Sara" and they say "oh hi, Sarah"...that bugs me. There's a Canadian lady we see every other week or so, and she's known Sara since she was a baby. After nearly 21 months, she STILL calls her Sarah.
Anyway /tangent! Most of the time it gets the right pronounciation here!
Melina, Liv and Lea are very popular here. And Stella is mega popular.
Laura would never get Lore-uh here, and I've gotten used to it that way and much prefer this version!
