I kind of like it. It has connotations with Robert Emmett for me. I knew a girl called Emma who married a guy called Emmett!

I've always found it an unattractive name, it makes me think of "emetic".

I really like this name. It is in my top 20 boys names. I like the combo of Emmett Aleksander the best.

I like Emmett! Around here, people tend to drop the t as the end of words, so I wouldn't use it because it would end up sounding like 'Emmih', the same reason I won't use Elliot. In a region with a different accent, it would be lovely.

I wonder why I don't like it more than I do. It's okay, I guess, but there's just something lacking about it. It's just blah, even though it's not a generic nickname and it isn't overused by any stretch of the imagination.
