Iris
What so we think of Iris?
I was thinking about it lately because our wedding is going to be rainbow themed and Iris means 'rainbow'. Do you think that's a nice association, or is it a bit cheesy?
It would probably be a middle name, maybe even second middle name. I'm thinking Genevieve Iris or Eve Josephine Iris.

I like Iris. Retro-chic. And I like the rainbow association, I think it's cute.
I think Iris is a lovely name and adore the rainbow meaning. I don't think it would be cheesy to use the name in the future, it's a cute idea.
I like Iris. Of your two combos I prefer Genevieve Iris.
I really like Iris as a first or middle name. It's classy and cool at the same time. The rainbow association is sweet, not overly cheesy. Most people wouldn't even make the connection so it would just be something sweet that you and your daughter would know about it.
I'd prefer to see Iris as a first name. Iris Genevieve would be nice. I actually like just Iris Eve.

I love Iris, it's such a beautiful name.
I don't think it's cheesy, most people wont know that Iris means "rainbow" or that that was your wedding theme.

I like Iris, and I think it sounds great as a middle name because it doesn't end with a vowel, so it won't rhyme with most names. I think it's a great link to your wedding.
It's fine as a name. My niece had swimming lessons with a girl named Irys this summer. My sister said that's how her name is spelled. She'd be around 8. A popular regular substitute teacher where I work has a granddaughter named Iris. She's about 5 now. I think people will think of the flower or part of the eye before they think of rainbows. I usually do, even though I'm familiar with basic Greek mythology.
I love Genevieve but it doesn't sound right with Iris.
I LOVE Eve Josephine Iris though, It is a little bit of a mouthful but it all works together.

It's got attractive imagery, and the flower is beautiful. But I'm not fond of the sound of it, for some reason totally at odds with its meaning and images it has a sour, sullen feel to it; I picture a sullen, sour-faced teenage girl. I only ever knew one Iris, and she actually went by Annie.
