My mom has started referring to the baby as
Mary, for reasons I cannot understand. I've had to correct her several times.
I think we're going to continue to go with
Miriam. It's a kinda of a family thing - it's
Christian, and Catholic, and old testament - so it fits into the extended family well. I had no idea that naming a child - and understanding that both my daughter and myself will be judged on her name - would be so hard. :-/ My husband doesn't get this - he would be fine naming our daughter
