Liora seems pointedly Hebrew to me, which isn't a bad thing of course but I happen to know you're not Jewish, and Hebrew names seem weirdly trendy among non-Jews, which doesn't really happen with any other ethnic/foreign names, and it is kinda weird to me, I would not use a Hebrew name that had no mainstream/traditional English-speaking-Christian cultural heritage, it'd be like using
Aditi or
Xue or
Asra ... except not, because it'd be sort of also like using
Suri or Apple or
Cruz.
MARY. Use
Mary!
Languages aside and thinking only of superficial appeal,
Liora is prettier than
Miriam and I'd rather be
Liora.
But I still like
Miriam okay.
