Re: KITTY
in reply to a message by blaaaarg
Worst day ever. I texted my c-word friend that I couldn't find it and she came over and got it out from under the stove and took it back, because I'm clearly too irresponsible to own a cat because I didn't close the door to the room I put her in.

I'm sorry, Sibyl/Emma (not sure what you go by now :) . Hopefully you're able to get a kitty of your own, soon. Have you thought about adopting from a shelter, perhaps?
Gee, your friend is kind of a jerk.
Obviously didn't want to give up the cat in the first place. Lame.

She's just really self-righteous and motherly. It's actually pretty normal for the cat to be under the damn stove for the first day, I didn't expect her to come over and take it back. And as she was leaving she got all sigh-y over the fact that I was upset. Like, yeah, it's a little embarrassing.
My husband's old cat hid behind his fridge for a whole week when she moved in. She must know you felt insulted, but she ought to have to respond to it too. I hope you told her.
Well, at least you had not given it a name yet. That would have made it worse.
Poor kitty.

Yeah. I hope she posts about this on reddit and gets schooled in how totally normal it is for cats to hide. She definitely knew I felt insulted - I was in no state to go on about it, but she got her digs in where she could. Really odd. I don't want to see her anymore.
They were calling it "Luna." They can call it Luna all f*cking day.
